ABOUT US
District of Parry Sound Victim Services is a 24/7 Crisis Response and Referral agency, specializing in Victim Crisis. District of Parry Sound Victim Services is a non-profit organization working in a close partnership with Police, Fire, Emergency Services and other social service agencies to meet the short term needs of people who have fallen victim to crime, and tragic circumstances by providing emotional support, practical assistance, and referrals to community resources. Victim Services strives to help victims of crime and sudden tragedies to restore and enhance their quality of life while working to further prevent re-victimization.
We offer crisis intervention services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Our Programs
Family Court Support
If you are currently involved, or will be involved in the family court process and are a victim of domestic violence, the Family Court Support Program is here to help.
Vulnerable Persons Database
The VPD will offer assistance to anyone who is vulnerable or at risk in a crisis or emergency situation. This includes individuals who are at risk of wandering, in need of medical assistance, or any other crisis that may pose a risk to their safety and wellbeing.
Victim Quick Response Program
The VQRP is designed to help victims of violent crimes with immediate financial assistance. VQRP+ can cover short term counselling, funeral expenses, home safety, and other short term assistance.
Crisis Response Dog
Crisis Response Dogs are able to work with victims of crime or tragic circumstances on an individual basis. Our Crisis Response dog is able to assist in the court house, visit schools and long term care homes, hospice and other community partners.
